Located just 5 minutes away from Hollywood Beach, Pancho's Backyard is one of the best Mexican/Spanish restaurants on this side of the Rio Grande. Offering a full menu of delicious appetizers and amazing courses, Pancho's provides a relaxing, sit-back style environment with a kick in the ass Latin flavor. The staff there are very nice and accomodating, and the owner greets all his customers during their meals as his own personal touch to the establishment. Most notably, the prices are great, with dishes ranging from $8.95 - $19.95; lunch offers all the same meals at reduced prices too.
My meal (Monday, July 5):
Drink: 1 Corona Extra
Appetizer: "Muchos Nachos" (corn tortillas covered in Monterey and Cheddar cheese topped with sour cream, guacomole, and pickled jalepenos)
Main course: Lechen Asado (pork marinated and cooked in suculent Latin spices. Included White Rice & Black Beans and Fried Sweet Plantains.
