The Future

The future holds a lot of questions, ones we cannot answer but only hope to anticipate the outcome of. One question facing us, people, is whether we will have enough food to go around. The world's food system is calculated to supply nearly seven billion people each day! That statistic is astounding. However, as world populations continue to grow, worrying begins to unfold as to how we will be able to feed all these people.

As land shrinks for growing wheat, fruits, and vegetables, as well as raising livestock, many people wonder how there will be "enough to go around". One thing that is for certain with the future is the advancement in technology. Technologies are being developed today to meet the needs of these growing populations. Many different sciences are being introduced into this field that once never was found to co-exist. Scientists studying biology, chemistry, engineering, genomics, microbiology, biotechnology, nutrition, and toxicology are all working together to find ways to increase the world's food quota while still trying to keep food nutrious, safe, and inexpensive for people. Some people believe genetically altered food is the wave of the future, however, many are against it.

It will be interesting to see how this all turns out. It is a matter of watching science keep up with nature; populations increasing rapidly with food consumption increasing even more rapidly. One way I think we can answer the call to aid the increasing population with more food is by making buildings to house food and animals. As land area shrinks more each day, sites to allow animals to graze and food to grow is becoming limited. I believer that by developing buildings with aritifical light seasons, we can all our production of both and raising of animals without the direct use of land.n; vertical farming I'll call it. Also, has land becomes limited on the ground, we still have room to grow up. Buildings to house animals and food can centralize all into one locatio Many scientists beleive the solutions they have found to this is not only possible but promising.

I need more Good Eats followers!!!

As the blog continues to grow, I am trying to find ways to increase readership among my followers. As I debate about whether to continue my blog or not, I need to figure out to attract more people. I have recently created an advertising campaign through my blog, as well as social network to spread the idea among friends. However, I have been throwing a few ideas around to see which ones will work the best:
- read up on other blogs similar to mine and follow theirs, hoping they will begin to follow mine
- advertise my blog more, across forums and other social networks
- write to a newspaper asking to advertise my blog
- advertise my blog on the radio
- post on iTunes

It is kind of difficult to figure things out, as I am the blogger but not the reader. So, if I can get some ideas from my followers on how to increase readership and have my blog gain more attraction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Good Eats goes social!!!

So, in keeping up with society's need for social networking, I have decided to create my own Good Eats: Hollywood, FL social newtwork. There you can chat with other members of the network about restaurants, nightlife, bars, and ohter places in and around Hollywood. On the network you can be your own "blogger" in a way, posting links and information about anything you feel might be helpful to others, such as a food review or just giving tips or pointers about a local eatery you recently visited. Please keep the content PG, otherwise, have fun, and be social!
